Go Skateboarding Day
Included but wasn’t limited to 100’s of hot dogs, burgers, gallons of energy
drinks, sport drinks, sodas and water consumed. Two stolen skateboards,
stenciling, raffles, a twice run over camera*, skateboarding tickets, a
parking citation, a broken high ollie bar, cuts, bruises and a real good
collision. And a halted effort to shut down an entire skatepark because
there were too many skateboarders.
Thank yous to Backdoor Skate Shop and Santa Barbara Skate Shop for hosting
the events. The sponsors that stoked the skaters. Powell team riders John
White, Josh Hawkins, Deathwish and Aldrin Garcia, along with Curren Caples
for coming out. The crew at Skate One for being awesome and all the
skateboarders that celebrated the day.
